Lake & pond construction, dredging, restoration repair & transformation

There comes a time when nature has overtaken a lake or pond and a restoration project is required. We undertake dredging using excavators and look carefully at landscaping the dredged material on site, rather than removing from site, to help keep costs down.

Dredging assists with ongoing water maintenance by removing accumulated sediments and weeds from the waterway. Sediment removal is beneficial for improving water quality and restoring the health of aquatic ecosystems.

Re-forming lake and pond banks, as most know France has coypu/ragondin problems tunnelling through lake banks causing the banks to collapse and water to escape. If your water levels drop this could well be the cause.

We specialise in re-forming and sealing in the banks back to the original. If a tree falls and up roots taking a section of bank we can remove the tree and stump (see video below) and re-form the bank.

Tree bush wooded areas thinned or cleared

Lakes receive oxygen from the atmosphere and through photosynthesis. Atmospheric oxygen is added from wind moving across the surface area of a lake. With more wind, more oxygen is added to the lake from the atmosphere. It is of great importance to thin or clear fence wooded or over grown areas close to lakes.

Plants can also add oxygen when exposed to sunlight in a process called photosynthesis.
